Pamela D. Simons, OB/GYN
Pamela D. Simons, MD, MBA is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN). She is a graduate of Albany Medical College and trained at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center before completing her residency at the University of California Davis Medical Center. Her particular clinical interests include adolescent reproductive medicine, pelvic pain, diabetes and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, and gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopy. She finds her greatest satisfaction in empowering women to be active participants in their own health and that of their families and she feels privileged to continue this partnership as her patients progress through their lives. Before joining Paynesville Area Health Care System, Dr. Simons worked as a traveling physician in a variety of settings in New Hampshire, Colorado, Oklahoma, and throughout California. Prior to becoming an obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Simons first career was in health care management. After earning both her undergraduate degree and an MBA from Cornell University, Dr. Simons held various positions in the industry, including hospital administration, management consulting and comprehensive health planning. This background is what motivated her to specialize in caring for women. In her spare time, Dr. Simons is an avid skier and amateur competitive West Coast Swing dancer and roller blades for fitness. With her move to Paynesville, she is looking forward to getting back into horseback riding and sailing.
