Board Responsibilities
• Educate the general public regarding health care issues and how these issues affect our rural hospital.
• Expand public awareness of the PAHCS service offerings.
• Help educate the public that health care is one of the communities highest priorities in a rural setting.
• Along with other businesses, health care will face dramatic challenges over the next few years; help come up with a plan of how we can overcome those challenges.
• Board members oversee and make final decisions on the financial and strategic plans for the health system and serves as an advisory role through committee participation; ie.e. finance, strategic planning, human resources, community relations, governance and quality.
• The board is charged with representing the health care needs of the community and sharing the system’s needs and concerns with external constituencies. Serve as a communication link between the health system and the public.
