Hospital Board meeting
November 28, 2001


The Paynesville Area Hospital District Board of Directors took the following actions at their meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

• The board was informed of a severe deficiency found by surveyors of the Minnesota Department of Health on their annual inspection of the Koronis Manor on Monday, Nov. 19. The temperature of bath water was 135º, 20º higher than allowable. The deficiency automatically triggered an extended survey, where three minor deficiencies were found.

• The board reappointed members to the medical staff. Reappointments must be made every two years, with the bulk of providers up for reappointment this year.

• The board was informed that PAHCS has updated its bioterrorism plan. Employees have been in-serviced about the new plan.

• The board will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at noon to receive its annual audit report.

• The board will hold its regular monthly meeting for December on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 8 p.m. The board will meet the third Wednesday of December instead of the fourth because of Christmas.

• The board acknowledged a $900 donation from Dennis Nistler in memory of Erwin Nistler to be split between outreach, hospice, and home health.
