The Paynesville Area Hospital District Board of Directors took the following actions at their meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 23.
*The board noted that PAHCS had recorded a profit of $113,100 in January, bringing its year-to-date profit to $608,400 through four months of its 2005 fiscal year, which started in October. Through four months, PAHCS has performed nearly $180,000 better than budgeted. It is putting money into savings each month, whereas last year its cash position required a line of credit to fund operations.
*The board was informed of the list of meetings with the governing boards of its various member entities in March: City of Richmond, Wednesday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m.; City of Regal, Monday, March 7, at 7 p.m.; Eden Lake Township, Tuesday, March 8, at 8 p.m.; Paynesville Township, Tuesday, March 8, at 8 p.m.; Roseville Township, Tuesday, March 8, at 8:15 p.m.; Union Grove Township, Tuesday, March 8, at 8:15 p.m.; Zion Township, Tuesday, March 8, at 8:15 p.m.; City of Eden Valley, Wednesday, March 9, at 7 p.m.; City of Roscoe, Monday, March 14, 7 p.m.; City of St. Martin, Monday, March 14, 7 p.m.; City of Paynesville, Wednesday, March 23, 6 p.m.; and City of Lake Henry, Monday, March 28, 7 p.m. District representatives will also visit the Watkins City Council on Thursday, March 10, at 6 p.m.
*The board approved a Housing Services Code of Ethics Resolution, affecting 700 Stearns Place (independent senior apartments) and Washburne Court (assisted living).
*The board heard an update about the school district from superintendent Todd Burlingame.
