New smoking policy at PAHCS

At the regular hospital district board meeting on Sept. 26, 2001, the Paynesville Area Hospital District Board of Directors adopted a smoke free policy for PAHCS which provides for a smoke free environment on the entire campus (including the building and grounds, parking lots, and satellite clinics).

Residents of Koronis Manor and tenants of 700 Stearns Place will be allowed to smoke in the designated smoking areas of these two facilities. This policy came into effect Oct. 1, 2001.

At the Oct. 24, board meeting, the policy was amended allowing employees to raise money to build a shelter in the courtyard.
