For Bob O'Fallon, becoming an Eagle Scout has been his goal since becoming a Boy Scout many years before. In order to obtain his Eagle Scout status, he needed to plan a project, submit it to the board for approval, raise funds for the project, coordinate help from other scouts and parents, and build and deliver it to the site. Bob and LuAnn are pictured with the finished garden cart. Bob got the idea for the project from LouAnn Fahlberg, activities director at Koronis Manor. Many residents had listed gardening as a hobby they used to enjoy and she suggested an indoor garden, where the residents could enjoy gardening year-round.. The residents and employees of Koronis Manor are thrilled that Bob decided to build an indoor garden cart for their use. The cart was built with wheels so it can easily be moved. It is also wheelchair accessible, allowing residents to work with the plants and flowers from the comfort of their chairs. A storage area is located underneath. The inside of the cart is lined with laminate so it can hold plastic planting trays and not be damaged by dirt or water. The ends are lattices, making it easy for vines to climb the side. Hanging plants can also be hung on each end.. To raise funds for this project, Bob presented his plan to the Paynesville Legion and the Paynesville Lions club. He also applied for an award from his electric cooperative. To help pay for one hanging plant, Bob worked at a Sportsmen's Club supper.
