Infant There is a Safe Place for your newborn and for you! A "Safe Place" means you can leave your unharmed newborn [up to 72 hours old] at the emergency room or nurses' station of Paynesville Area Hospital. No one will be turned away.

For your newborn - SAFE.
• The hospital will care for your newborn and provide medical attention until your baby is placed in an appropriate home.

For you - CONFIDENTIALITY.
• Your confidentiality is assured. No police will be called, and with the exception of a few quick medical inquiries, no questions will be asked, not even your name. Simply go to the emergency room or nurses' station of Paynesville Area Hospital. Tell the hospital personnel you want your baby left with "Safe Place."
