Mobile MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a method of viewing the human body providing a high level of detail. These images are used in the early diagnosis of a variety of medical conditions, including brain and nervous system disorders, bone and joint complications, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and organ disease.
MRI is a safe, pain-free procedure performed without the use of radiation. MRI uses simple every day magnetic forces and radio waves to create an image of the inside of your body that is much clearer than can be obtained with most other methods. Depending on the test your physician has ordered, the total scan time may be from 20-40 minutes. Throughout the exam, you will be in contact with a professional, caring MRI technologist who will inform you of what is taking place every step of the way.
MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) is an imaging technique performed allowing the doctor to view the blood flow in various parts of your body.
Paynesville Area Health Care System's Mobile MRI services are available Monday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon and Thursday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Call 320-243-3779 for an appointment. |
